Account Manager (Digital Marketing)
We are searching for a driven and energetic mid-level digital marketing account manager to join our team, build strong positive relationships with our clients, and work closely with internal team members to reach client goals.

Pulling Power is a boutique digital marketing agency in Cape Town, South Africa, with a solid roster of mostly independent international clients. Built from a garage up, the team has worked tirelessly for the success they now enjoy in a state-of-the-art office space. Pulling Power specialises in digital and tabletop game marketing, an area where there is so much passion and creativity to be found. You will work with a team of experts in everything from performance marketing and web development to social media management and design, animation and 3D. We pride ourselves on our ability to perfectly balance creative flair with solid data-driven strategy.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact to our clients, and their needs and concerns
- Build and strengthen relationships with new clients and play a pivotal role in bringing them on board as long-term retainer clients
- Understand and keep up to date with all the products and services offered by our clients
- Maintain accurate records of clients' requests, concerns, complaints, contract updates and scope of services
- Work closely with internal team members to organise client assets, deliver strategic marketing solutions, apply feedback and ensure KPIs are being met
- Develop a deep understanding of the strengths of every team member and service at PPM to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Brief creative, social, performance and web team members on upcoming projects and campaigns
- Quality control every piece of content, proposal and report delivered to clients
- Brief and update senior members and PPM’s director on client relationship wins and stumbles
- Keep records of all client feedback, positive or negative, to motivate the team after excellent work and navigate learning curves for future projects
- Direct meetings and brainstorms towards actionable productivity
- Work with the team to review or create monthly client reports, and develop realistic next steps to address any issues or escalate what’s doing well
- Be yourself! Our clients are nearly all indie creators looking to build genuine relationships with their marketing provider
Requirements
- Experience with and an understanding of Paid Media advertising, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and a broad understanding of this space, the terminology, and the processes
- Formal education in marketing, media, English, linguistics, psychology, paid media or other relevant fields
- A minimum of three years experience in account management, client-facing paid media or other client coordination roles
- A proven track record of account management experience
- Fully fluent in English
- Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills
- Proficient in Google, CMS and project management tools
- A working knowledge of all current relevant social media platforms
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
